Dostis Honored by VBSR
Robert Dostis was the first legislator
honored by VBSR's new "legislator of the year" program.
"We were particularly impressed with his work as chair of
the House Natural Resources and Energy Committee in crafting
legislation giving Vermont its first Renewable Portfolio Standard
and in handling the delicate negotiations with Vermont Yankee
concerning dry cask storage. Robert succeeded in creating an
open process that resulted in strong bi-partisan support on his
committee on what are normally very contentious issues. This
is the political process working as it should--in the interests
of all Vermonters, not just to score political points."

"I need to say thanks once again.
After you and Val left I stuck around, took some more pics of
the kids playing, and listened to the laughter and excitement
of the kids...it really takes so little to make kids happy. Not
that $10,000 is a small amount but it has made a huge difference
in these kids lives and those who work and volunteer for HMCC.
You did a great thing, thank you so much."

Completes Productive Second Term
I am honored to have been re-elected to serve our
community as your representative. Many thanks to those who drove
me around door to door, provided financial support, and helped
with placement of lawn signs, mailings and phone calls. I could
not have done it without you. I also want to thank everyone who
voted. It is good to know that you are pleased enough with my
work to send me back for a second term.
While serving as your representative I
ask that you stay in touch. The communications I receive from
you helps me know what issues are important to you and what I
need to work on. Please write, call or email me.
If you have questions about the legislature,
or simply want to visit the State House, please contact me. Connecting
people to their government is one of my major priorities. I look
forward to working with you and serving the people of Huntington,
Buel's Gore, Waterbury, and Duxbury for the next two years. Thank
you.
